The Sozo Network and Impact Toolbox are calling for African youth leaders to apply for the 2021 Youth In Development Boot Camp and Fellowship. This is a program for African youths who are involved in community development and contributing to achieving socio-economic development across different communities in Africa.

About The Youth In Development Boot Camp And Fellowship
The 2021 Youth in Development Boot Camp and Fellowship is the second edition of the annual program. Firstly, one hundred (100) young leaders would attend a 3-day virtual boot camp. During the transformative learning experience, they will hone their leadership skills and acquire knowledge on leading sustainable social change.
Then, the hundred (100) young leaders would have the unique opportunity to learn directly from social change leaders with exceptional track records and academics from across the world. Also, as a participant, you would become a part of the Impact Toolbox and Sozo Networks’ formidable network of social change leaders.
At the end of the boot camp, you will submit an action plan and a social venture proposal that reflects what you’ve learned. Twenty (20) of the participants would become the 2021 Youth in Development (YID) Fellows based on the quality of their action plans and social venture idea proposal. 2021 YID Fellows will engage in a 3-month professional development program during which you will enjoy the following benefits through the Impact Toolbox:

2021 Youth In Development Eligibility Criteria
To apply, you must meet these criteria;
- Have an idea or initiative for social change
- Be between the age of 18-35 on or before the application deadline
- You must be a citizen of an African country and reside in the continent
- Be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
- You must be available to attend a 3-day boot camp online from February
- Be willing to pass down the training to at least ten (10) other people

Selection Process
Applications review will commence after the submission deadline. And, upon evaluation and verification, successful candidates would be notified in the first week of February 2021.
Then, twenty 20 YID Fellows would later be shortlisted after the boot camp for continued professional development experience and mentorship based on the quality of your social venture ideas.
