Desmond Elliot Background
Desmond Olushola Elliot was born on the 4th of February 1974, in Lagos, Nigeria to Mr and Mrs Elliot. His father is from Olowogbowo, Lagos State, while his mother hails from Illah, Oshimili North, Delta State Nigeria. He grew up in the Northern part of Nigeria, with his parents and siblings.
He had his primary education at the Air Force Primary school, Jos, while his secondary education was at St John’s College, Jos. Desmond obtained a BSc. degree in Economics from the Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos (LASU) in 2003. He is married to Victoria Elliot, and they are blessed with four children – 2 sets of twins.

Desmond Elliot got involved with Nollywood after his friend convinced him that the industry would suit him. When he first started, he only featured in soap operas like Everyday People, One Too Much, Super Story, and Saints and Sinners. Gradually, he started getting roles in normal movies. Today, Desmond Elliot is an influential Nollywood personality that has featured in over 200 movies. Desmond Elliot co-produced and co-directed the movie Reloaded in 2008.

Desmond Elliot’s Political Career
He declared his intentions to run for the Lagos State House of Assembly in September 2014. Following this announcement, he was approved as a contestant under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress.
After that, Desmond Elliot was declared the winner of the election on the 11th of April, 2015. Hence, he became the representative of the Surulere Constituency, House of Assembly, Lagos. At the end of his tenure in office, he contested again for the same position in the 2019 general elections and emerged the winner once again.
