Wema Bank is calling for application for its 2020 Hackathon Program tagged Hackaholics 2.0. This is a program for startups or businesses with existing solutions in healthcare, education, agritech, fintech, gaming, and betting.
If you are a developer, designer, or creative thinker, this is a real-time opportunity to scale-up your existing solution, develop products, and discover new technologies.

About Hackaholics 2.0
The program will kick off with a pitch competition where the top (10) ten solutions would be selected to participate in a high-level four-weeks virtual Bootcamp. Similarly, the Bootcamp participants will get the opportunity to meet with industry experts and mentors who would help refine core areas of their businesses. They will go on to pitch their solutions to the bank and other investors at Demo Day.
The Hackaholics 2.0 promises to be an interactive virtual event where business owners, innovators, and creative thinkers will learn, network, and demo solutions specific to the highlighted industries.
Thereafter, the winning solutions will receive up to $40,000 in funding alongside numerous non-cash benefits like access to market, a direct link to industry experts, mentor network, access to APIs among other resources.
The key areas and industries that the initiative need startups to pitch solutions for when registering include; Education, Healthcare, Betting&Gaming, Fintech and Agritech.

- Pitch Date – Oct 30th – Oct. 31st
- Start Bootcamp – Nov. 5th – Dec. 2nd
