McKinsey and Company, the global management consulting firm has announced a call for applications for young professionals into its flagship virtual learning program christened “Forward.”
Announcing the Mckinsey Forward Virtual Learning Program on its official website, Viktor Hediger, Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company said, “McKinsey is excited to launch Forward as our region’s flagship social-responsibility initiative.
The workforce is rapidly changing, and there are many gaps in high-quality learning programs for young people just starting their careers in small companies, not for profits, or even self-employment. Forward offers a unique and transformational experience for young professionals across industries and job functions.”
The McKinsey and Company Forward program is a virtual learning program looking to help boost the careers of young professionals across the African continent.
The program aims to help teach young Africans how to navigate the workplace of the future, and equip them with core skills that they need to succeed in the workplace. Analytical skills, problem-solving skills, digital skills and emotional intelligence are some of the core focus of the program.
Who Can Apply For The McKinsey & Company Forward Learning Program?
- Applicants must be university graduates
- You should not have more than five years of work experience in the formal sector (internships are exempt)
- Applicants must be employed in a non-governmental SME company
- You will be considered if you are self-employed.
- Applicants must have a good command of the English language to help easy communication.
How Does The McKinsey & Company Forward Learning Program?
The McKinsey & Company Forward Virtual Learning Program will use a three-level virtual learning method to help prepare participants in the program for the workplace of the future.
At the foundation level, applicants will discover and learn how to use important skills they need to survive in the workplace of the future.
When a participant reaches the advanced level, they will apply the new skills they just learned via a six-week immersive journey. They will learn with the help of advanced digital content, tailored virtual workshops and peer learning.
At the final stage is the network level where participants will be able to join a strong community with other participants. They will also get access to content that will help them refresh their skills as they continue their learning journey. Additionally, they will be able to find out how they can become a Forward coach too,
