RISE by Sundara fund is calling for applications from female entrepreneurs across the globe. Through this initiative, Sundara’s newest and most ambitious initiative will be Rewarding Innovative and Sustainable Entrepreneurs.

The goal with RISE is to make a global impact through providing seed-funding and mentorship to female entrepreneurs across the globe living in low to middle-income countries.
This new, ambitious phase of the work focuses on elevating women to become thought leaders and change-makers in their very own community. With RISE, entrepreneurs already have unique and powerful ideas on how to resolve water, sanitation, or hygiene problems in their very own community – yet lack the resources to make this possible. Sundara Fund will help to provide both mentorship and financial support to these entrepreneurs to make a lasting impact in the community.
Benefits Of RISE BY Sundara Fund
Some of the benefits involved in the initiative includes;
Seed Funding; RISE believes in offering a hand-up, rather than a hand-out. RISE offers up to $5,000 per entrepreneur to contribute sustainably to their community in the WASH sector. These funds give early-stage entrepreneurs the initial financial support to develop their business plan into a well-researched, income-generating project.
Mentorship; Over and above seed funding, RISE offers regular guidance and communication on everything from how to best develop a business plan to perfecting a ‘pitch.’ No two projects or businesses are alike – and that’s why it provides tailored, specific advice based on the individual needs of each fellow.
Business Resources; RISE taps into its extensive network of professionals to connect you with experts relative to your field. From business consultants to PR professionals, to similar organizations working in your sector. And, it will work to connect you to world-class talents.

Who Should Apply
This opportunity is for;
- Female entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 to 50 living in low to middle-income countries with a unique idea on how to improve local water, sanitation or hygiene problems in their very own community
- Grassroots nonprofits led by females or benefitting females, with annual budgets under $50,000 USD
- The idea is fully developed or the project is in its infancy
- The applicant will be able to clearly explain the problem, with a concise explanation of the solution to be implemented
- Applicants will be able to clearly explain how much funds they require and how they plan to use the funds to create a profitable, sustainable impact-venture.

Selection Process
As an entrepreneur, your hands are full – really full. That’s why RISE created a funding application that’s simple and allows you to devote time where it’s truly needed – on the ground, in your community, and behind the drawing board working to perfect your ideas. As a result, the overall application will be in three stages;
STEP 1: Submit Application
Applicants submit their funding applications via the online portal. And, if any questions arise during the submission process, you can reach out to the RISE team.
STEP 2: Application Review
After submitting your funding proposal, the team works diligently to review all submissions as soon as possible – when it comes to innovative, life-saving ideas, RISE knows that time is of the essence. Thereafter, all legitimate applicants, whether they’ve made it through to the next round or not, will be contacted after this phase.

STEP 3: Funding Approval
After your submission has been reviewed and approved, RISE will personally connect with each non-profit or entrepreneur via video conference to learn more about you and your work. Thereafter, It will announce successful applicants for the next program and be in touch with next steps.
